LAGIS Path™ Single-Port Access Platform

TRL Series | Designed for Single-Port Robotic Surgery

Single-Port Robotic Surgery and Single-Incision Laparoscopic Surgery (SILS) require surgical access systems capable of accommodating multiple instruments within a limited incision. The access platform must provide sufficient working channels for multiple instruments while supporting a stable pneumoperitoneum throughout the procedure.

LAGIS TRL80-040R-N is designed to address these requirements with a compact, multi-channel surgical access platform that supports both robotic and assistant instruments through a single incision.

Key Design Features for Robotic Surgery

  • 01 | Four Flexible 5–12 mm Instrument Channels: Four flexible channels accommodate surgical instruments ranging from 5 mm to 12 mm, supporting access for both robotic instruments and assistant instruments. The multi-channel configuration provides flexible instrument placement within a limited incision and supports the requirements of single-port robotic and minimally invasive procedures.
  • 02 | Ringless, Low-Profile Design: The TRL80-040R-N Ringless Design features a low-profile external configuration. By reducing the external profile around the incision, the design provides additional working space around the robotic arms and may help minimize potential interference between the access platform and robotic instruments.
  • 03 | Multi-Instrument Access Through a Limited Incision: Depending on the surgical approach and procedural requirements, the system can provide multi-channel instrument access through an approximately 3–6 cm incision. This configuration is intended for minimally invasive procedures requiring limited incision access and multiple instrument channels.

Wound Retractor & Cap for Robotic-Assisted Surgery

A Wound Retractor provides incision protection and tissue retraction during minimally invasive procedures. When combined with a compatible Cap, it can create a sealed surgical access platform for laparoscopic and robotic-assisted procedures. The LAGIS Cap Series is designed for use with compatible LAGIS Wound Retractors and can be configured according to different incision sizes, surgical procedures, and specimen requirements.

LAGIS Flow™ Suction & Irrigation System

Supporting a Clear and Stable Operative Field

In laparoscopic and robotic-assisted surgery, clear visualization is fundamental to effective surgical manipulation. Blood, tissue debris, surgical smoke, and irrigation fluids may affect the operative field and endoscopic visualization. Effective suction and irrigation therefore play an important role in intraoperative fluid management.

The LAGIS SA Series Suction & Irrigation System is designed for the fluid management requirements of assistant surgeons during robotic-assisted procedures, providing suction and irrigation capabilities to support operative field management.

45 cm / 52 cm Extended-Length Options

In certain robotic surgical configurations, conventional-length laparoscopic suction instruments may provide limited working distance due to the positioning of robotic arms and the surgical access site.

The LAGIS SA Series is available in 45 cm and 52 cm extended-length configurations, providing additional working reach for assistant surgeons while allowing them to operate within the available robotic workspace.

LAGIS Endo™ Extended-Length Laparoscopic Instruments

Instruments Designed for Robotic Surgery Assistants

The LAGIS Endo™ 45 cm Extended-Length Laparoscopic Instrument Series is designed specifically around these assistant-surgeon requirements. With extended shaft lengths, rotational capability, and ergonomic handling, Endo™ instruments provide assistant surgeons with independent access to the operative field and support essential surgical tasks alongside robotic instruments.

Extended-Length Tissue Graspers
